“The law has not at all forbidden child marriages,
saying such marriages are conditioned on the father accepting the terms. Even
the offices that
register such marriages go unpunished,” head of Tehran’s
Social
Committee said.
On the conditions of a young girl by the name of Ra’na who was
recently acid attacked by her father in the city of Kerman she said, “The
mother of this child lost her life in hospital.”
